Should You Put Creative Writing on Your Resume?

Should You Put Creative Writing on Your Resume? There is a debate between those who say you should put Creaive writing on your resume and those who say you should not. Personally, I lean towards the latter. Here are a few reasons why.Like with any other business, if you want to make a difference, you need to make a lot of noise. The majority of the writing on resumes I see is fairly standard. Now this is fine, but if you want your resume to stand out from the crowd, then it makes sense to do something different. For example, if you have a degree in science, then why not include that in your education. It is something that is seen as a necessary part of having the right education for the job. And if you include it on your resume, it will make you stand out from the crowd. Your interviewer may even ask you a follow up question about your degree. If you run a small business, then why not include your starting salary and contract? This is also a great opportunity to talk about your experien ce in your business. And remember, you don't have to use this information unless you want to. You can always use the data listed on your resume, but don't assume you will get the same reaction if you do not.The nice thing about most resumes is that they will allow you to enter a list of what you have done for your past employers. If you have worked for an insurance company, then you can include this. Or if you worked for a corporation, you can mention this. Most often the companies will not care about your qualifications, only your work history, so if you can share your accomplishments, you will stand out from the crowd.Writing for a resume also gives you an opportunity to talk about your hobbies. If you are writing for a newspaper, then there is no reason not to talk about your hobbies. You might even be able to include something more personal and include your pet or some of your children. As you can see, writing for a resume is just as easy as a traditional resume, and there is no reason not to include a writing for an online resume. I would suggest to everyone who writes a resume to really take a hard look at the standard format and make it something your resume is not. For example, write about your achievements, and avoid all the standard personal information.I have given some examples of what you can include in writing for a resume, but remember that it is up to you as to what you choose to do. However, one thing is for sure, you will get far more attention with your resume if you include something unique. So take a good look at your resume and decide if writing for a resume makes sense for you.
